Company shirts are wearable billboards
Wearing a shirt with your companies logo on it is like walking around wearing a billboard. Depending on where you go that day, if you are wearing a company shirt, a countless number of people will be exposed to your brand. At Viera Social Media we believe that company shirts are a highly effective way to market your brand. If you own a small business, you can benefit from wearing t-shirts with your logo on them.
One helpful hint is that shirts come in different materials and prices. Make your that you choose shirts that you will actually wear, and not just the ones that are cheapest. Wearing company shirts is a great way to market your business. However, they are a waste of money if you buy shirts you don’t actually want to wear just to save a few dollars.

The logo file types you will need
You may think that simply having any logo file will make it easy to get it printed on a shirt. However, what you may not know is that you need certain types of files for each of the different shirt printing methods.
With screen printing, for example, your logo needs to be in an editable vector format. A .JPEG or .PNG will need to be converted into a vector format so that the colors can be printed separately and screen printed. While most screen printing companies will convert your .jpegs to vectors, it will delay the process.
You can use a .JPEG or .PNG for DTG also known as Direct to Garment printing. However, it must be high-res or the design will look fuzzy and pixelated. We can help take low resolution files and make them into vectors so that they will look crisp and sharp when printed DTG.

Our Custom T-Shirt Design Creation Process
Every client is unique just like their business, and their needs vary, so there is no exact formula to creating the perfect T-shirt. However, while this list is not always exactly how every T-shirt design process will go, this will give you a general idea of what to expect when working with us!
Step 1
The first step in the process of creating the perfect shirt for your company is meeting with you. We find it important to meet with potential clients before starting the design process. This can be done in person, virtually, or over the phone. As previously mentioned, part of what makes us who we are at Viera Social Media is our hands-on, personal approach to business. We want to show potential clients that we are more than anonymous people behind a computer screen that you will rarely see, like so many alternate marketing/ graphic design companies.
The reason we want to meet first is so that we can really get to know you and your business before we start designing. We want to grab a cup of coffee with you and go in depth about who you are and your business. We know that the key to creating the perfect shirt design for your business is truly knowing your business. It helps if you have an idea of what you would like your shirt to look like, even just a general idea helps us know what direction to start in. However, even if you don’t have the slightest idea we are confident that we can still help create the perfect T-shirt design.
Step 2
After meeting, we will E-mail over an invoice. We can start the t-shirt design process upon receiving payment.
Step 3
Our in house graphic designer will create your t-shirt design. If we are creating a design from scratch, we want your honest feedback to hear what you liked and didn’t like. This will help us when making the next round of revisions.
Step 5
Once your t-shirt design is finalized and approved we will make sure you have the files you need to get your shirts printed.
File types include:
- .ai
- .JPEG
- .PNG
You will not need all of those file types however, each printer is different and may need a different file type.
Of course, you can always reach out to us for any additional file types you need and we will send them over.
